On 17 October, Saradawgree travelled to Bombay and stayed at the Bahuzana Vihara belonging to the Maha Bodhi Society. At the invitation of the Principal and teachers of the Siddattha College, and many Buddhists in Bombay, Mahaguru Saradawgree U Chandramani went by car on a tour of the city and blessed all the citizens. At 8 o'clock the same evening he was taken to a marquee for a Dhamma talk. Bhikkhu Sangharatana from Sri Lanka and U Kuthalasara, a Buddhist student scholar from Myanmar, accompanied Saradawgree. As soon as Saradawgree stepped on to the platform in the marquee, many people, each representing an association, lined up and paid homage with their garlands of flowers. There were over three hundred associations. After that Saradawgree delivered a four-hour long Dhamma lecture to over eight thousand worshippers. Saradawgree's Hindi was so good that everyone listened attentively to him and understood the essence of his sermon from start to finish.

Upon return to the Bahuzana Vihara, Saradawgree found that there were so many people waiting to pay homage to him that the police had to keep them in good order. After conducting all the necessary business in Bombay, Saradawgree returned to Kushinagar in good health.
