Dr. Ambedkar was a national leader, a Professor of Law, and the first to become a Buddhist amongst his people and had succeeded in persuading all his people to become Buddhists as well. He too could not overcome the `Sankhara-Dhamma' - the cause and effect of living and death -, which no one could. When he passed away, it was a very sad occasion for all the Buddhists associated with him. His Buddhist followers organized for a stone memorial of their leader to be erected in Minamardit near Bombay.

The Principal of the Minamardit Municipality invited Saradawgree to the unveiling of the Memorial Stone to Dr. Ambedkar. On 20 February 1960, Saradawgree U Chandramani, accompanied by his resident Bhikkhus, Tipitakarsariya Ashin Dhammarakkhita, M.A.; the volunteer of the Maha Bodhi Society, Sri Lankan Bhikkhu Sangharatana, and Ashin Dhammaloka, who was then in Nepal. Saradawpharagree led the Opening Ceremony at 8 pm, in Minamardit.

Saradawpharagree delivered a speech in Hindi to a crowd of over one hundred thousand people. Firstly, Saradawpharagree blessed them with the powers of Triple Gems and asked them to observe the five Buddhist precepts. He explained very comprehensively in his talks about `Anicca' (impermanence), `Dukkha' (suffering), and `Anatta' (no power to hold back), the three principles overpowering all living beings. The following morning at 8 o'clock, members of the municipality invited Saradawpharagree and his party to travel in two cars to visit six villages outside the town. The villagers requested Saradawpharagree to lay foundation stones where they planned to build Buddhist temples. Only after 2 pm, did Saradawpharagree and his party return to their host temple. Alter successfully completing all their tasks, Saradawpharagree and his party returned to Kushinagar.
